Established in 1964, Woden has enjoyed a revitalisation in recent years. A hive of business, health and education, Government Departments including Health and Ageing and Veterans’ Affairs are based in Woden, Canberra Hospital and various aged care facilities and the Canberra Institute of Technology.

The Woden Town Centre offers an abundance of shopping, cinemas and dining options with Westfield Woden being a large drawcard. Several major clubs and recreational facilities also add to an extensive list of activities on offer, including Phillip Swimming and Ice Skating Centre.

Woden has a mix of suburban and apartment living, with the added benefits of established nature reserves nearby including Mount Taylor, Isaacs Ridge and Farrer Ridge.
