Queanbeyan & Jerrabomberra
Just a few kilometres from the ACT border, Queanbeyan & Jerrabomberra provide a viable alternative to living in the national capital while still being close enough to be able to benefit from all the facilities that Canberra has to offer.
Queanbeyan is a thriving regional centre with a strong sporting culture. Many famous Australian sporting icons have hailed from Queanbeyan and it was also the original birthplace of the Canberra Raiders.
The city is home to a large shopping centre known as Riverside Plaza, many primary and secondary schools, a major hospital, ambulance station, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, community centre, public library and several parks. Jerrabomberra is a relatively new community, with construction beginning in the late 1980s. Thanks to its rapid growth, Jerrabomberra is now home to almost 10,000 residents, its own community centre, shopping centre, tennis courts, post office, primary school, and various other facilities.
